September 15, 1952 ~ March 14, 2022 (age 69)

SALINA - Dr. John N. Miller passed away Monday, March 14, 2022 at his home. He was born September 15, 1952 in Salina to his parents Vance V. and Harriette F. (Nelson) Miller.

John was a graduate of the Salina High School class of 1970 and the University of Kansas Class of 1974 with a B.S. in Chemistry. Upon graduation from K.U., he went on to the University of Missouri- Kansas City School of Dentistry where received his D.D.S. degree.

John was always a man with a plan. He knew that he wanted to become a dentist while in the ffourth grade and that he wanted to return to his hometown to practice which he did for 41 years. His spare time was filled with an endless number of projects and always planning the next. John had a passion for resurrecting, rebuilding and restoring vintage MOPAR cars and trucks to pristine condition as well as smaller John Deere tractors. His talent was endless.

John is survived by his wife Sandy; daughter Claire Miller (Jose Gonzalez) of Kansas City; son Nathan Miller of Overland Park; brother Bob Miller (Linda); nephews Lance Miller (Michelle) and John Miller of Salina; and niece Melanie Miller of Topeka.

A very special thank you to Jennifer Bachofer and Karla Montoy for their years of dedication to John and his practice as well as their caring and compassion during the course of his illness.

Cremation was chosen and a private memorial service is planned. Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. 8th St., Salina, KS 67401 is handling the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Friends of the Salina Animal Shelter or Kindred Hospice of Salina in care of Ryan Mortuary.
