CLOUD COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 3:30a.m. Sunday in Cloud County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Chevy Aveo driven by James Lee Gingell, 70, Glasco, was eastbound on U.S. 24 approximately five miles west of U.S. 81 southwest of Concordia. The car crossed the center line and struck a westbound 2019 Chrysler 300 driven by Jessica Alexandra Mendoza, 42,, Newton, head-on.
EMS transported Gingell to Salina Regional Health Center. Mendoza refused transport. A passenger in her vehicle was not injured. All four were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
