A pickup was left on the ground after someone stole its rims and tires earlier this month in north Salina.
A 28-year-old Salina man told police that sometime between July 3 and Sunday, someone stole rims and tires from his 2008 Chevrolet Silverado pickup that was being stored on a business lot off the alley in the 600 block of Bishop Street, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said this morning.
The rims were 20-inch by 12.5-inch Toxic rims by Custom Offsets. The tires, which had significant wear, were 35-inch Federal tires, Forrester said.
Total loss was estimated at $1,400.
Additionally, a two-ton floor jack that did not belong to the pickup owner, was found under the driver's side of the pickup, Forrester said.
