Salina Symphony virtual chamber concert set for Sunday

The Salina Symphony's Percussion Ensemble and Bass Quintet will be featured in the final concert of the “Listen Together” series.

The Virtual Chamber Concert is scheduled for 4 p.m. Sunday and will be premiered and available for viewing on Facebook at no cost.

The percussion ensemble program will include Blue Rondo à la Turk  arranged by Jeff Moore, Alexis Orfaly’s Structure Set, La Llorona  arranged by Ruth Jeanne, and Rosales’ Bolero arranged by Omar Musser. The bass quintet will present Tony Osborne’s The Pink Elephant.

Bass Quintet members include Gus Applequist, John Davis, Nelson Gutsch, David James, and Jeff Leach. The Percussion Ensemble features Dean Kranzler, Hannah Applequist, Eric Corby, John Karlin, Bridget Long, and Garret Ward with Gus Applequist on electric bass.
