It's going to be windy across much of Kansas today, so much so that the National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a wind advisory that includes a county in our area.
The advisory is in effect from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday for Marion County.
South winds 25 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected. A few gusts to 50 mph may occur, especially in hilly areas that are more exposed.
Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects, and may damage holiday decorations. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle.
