A new Saline County Clerk has been announced after the resignation of Jamie Doss.
According to the Saline County Republican Central Committee, they have selected Tammy J. Arnold as next Saline County Clerk.
Arnold will assume the role effective September 13.
The committee met on August 27 and from a field of 4 candidates, Arnold was elected by the precinct committeemen and women in attendance.
The committee stated that Arnold has worked in the Saline County Treasurer’s Office for 16 years and is “excited for this new role,” said Saline County GOP Chair Brenda Smith.
Doss will be resigning effective September 13 and will be the new Director of Administration and Finance for the Salina Airport Authority. She will join the Airport Authority on September 14, bringing nearly three decades of public-sector leadership and local government experience to the organization.
