A Salina man was arrested after he allegedly struck an individual before fleeing the scene.
According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) on July 18 at around 4:45 pm, officers received a call from a 72-year-old male who was in the area of Belmont and Magnolia.
Reportedly, the man was a passenger of a vehicle where he exited and around the vehicle, before being struck by the driver.
Before the incident, the victim stated he was in the vehicle with a known associate and they got into a verbal disagreement. He then wanted to get out of the vehicle and was struck when he exited, as the driver drove away from the scene.
Officers then arrived to the driver's residence and made contact with the suspect identified as Andrew Quinley (46) of Salina.
Quinley was then arrested and booked into the Saline County Jail for Domestic aggravated battery.
The victim received medical treatment for complaints neck pain and headache.
