The Southeast of Saline track and field team’s wrapped up their second meet of the week in style with a second-place finish on the boy's side and a sixth-place finish for the girls at Smoky Valley on Thursday.
It was another tremendous showing for the trio of all-state Trojan stars as Dylan Sprecker, Chase Poague and Jentrie Alderson cleaned up in their events, accounting for seven gold medals and eight of the twelve individual podiums.
Poague once again dominated the hurdles winning both the 110m and 300m races, adding a win in the 100-meter dash and a second-place finish in the long jump for good measure.
Sprecker took care of business in the 800 and 1600 and helped the Trojan 4x8 relay team to a third-place finish as well.
Levi Allen and Cayden Walker rounded out the boy’s podium finishers claiming silver and bronze respectively in the 3200.
On the girl’s side, it was another two-win day for Alderson who swept the 1600 and 3200, the latter being a 1-2 Trojan finish thanks to another strong run from Ashley Prochazka.
Ivie Douglas picked up another silver medal in the shot put, giving SES some much-needed points in the field events.
Both teams will get a well-deserved break before returning to action on Friday, April 22 for the Abilene Invitational.
