With the increased risk of thunderstorms comes the potential for heavy rain and flooding. 

Through Friday, it looks like the heaviest rain will be focused across the eastern half of Kansas, especially along and east of Interstate 135, the National Weather Service in Wichita reported this afternoon. Where the heaviest rain occurs, some minor flooding may occur, the weather service noted.
