Salina under Freeze Watch as freezing temperatures return

The first freeze for the fall 2025 season is expected to occur tonight as sub-freezing temperatures are anticipated.

According to the US National Weather Service, freezing temperatures are expected for Salina and portions throughout Central Kansas.

Salina is recorded to have a low of 32 degrees Wednesday evening. Russell is reported to have the lowest temperature of 30 degrees.

Moreover, a Freeze Watch is in effect after midnight.

Following the Freeze Watch, low temperatures will be in the 30s, with Russell reaching as low as 26 throughout the rest of the week (Thursday, October 30 - Sunday, November 2).
