The New Year's holiday brings with it local closings.
City of Salina and Saline County offices and facilities will be closed Friday in observance of the New Year's holiday. Offices and facilities will resume regular hours on Monday.
The Salina Household Hazardous Waste Facility will be closed on Saturday, with regular operating hours resuming Jan. 6, but will be available earlier in the week by appointment (785-826-6638), according to information from the city.
The landfill will be closed on Saturday, and is scheduled to resume regular hours on Monday.
Additionally, the Salina Public Library will be open from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday and will be closed on Saturday.
