One man was hospitalized in serious condition after a crash in Salina.
According to the Salina Police Department (SPD), at approximately at 4:50 am on Wednesday, officers responded to the 2000 block of Centennial in reference to a person riding an E-bike who had been struck by a vehicle.
Upon arrival, officers found a 66-year old male of Salina unconscious and not breathing.
Preliminary investigation reported that the male was riding southbound on Centennial, when he was struck from behind by a southbound motor vehicle.
Officers performed CPR until Salina Fire and EMS arrived.
The individual was transported to Salina Regional Health Center in serious condition.
The accident is still under investigation, and the 2000 block of Centennial is currently closed.
Anyone needing to travel in the area needs to take an alternative route.
The Salina Police Department is asking the community to contact the police if they had encountered the cyclist on Centennial Road, or in the area before the traffic collision.
