Domestic argument and knife threat results in arrest

Domestic argument leads to the arrest of man after allegedly threatening two people with a knife.

According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) on Tuesday afternoon, officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of Pawnee for a domestic disturbance. Reportedly, a man was swinging a knife at two family members inside a home. SPD stated the man was in a 'mental health crisis.'

SPD stated before the incident happened, the man got into an argument with both the relatives over a bracelet situation. No one was physically harmed during and after the argument.

Officers arrested 60-year old, Saladin Bass. He was transported to Salina Regional Health Center to be evaluated and was then booked into the Saline County Jail on the following requested charges:

Aggravated Assault, Criminal Threat, Obstruction and Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia.
