
Following is the Saline County COVID-19 update for Friday.
As of today, 342 of Saline County’s cases have recovered. We do have an additional 10 positive cases that have been identified since the Wednesday, August 12 report. The total for the county is now 404, with 55 cases that are actively being monitored by the Health Department, and a total of 7 deaths. Salina Regional Health Center last reported that they have 5 hospitalized COVID-19 patients. Salina Regional is a regional hospital, the COVID-19 patient total is not specific to the number of Saline County residents who may be hospitalized. According to the Kansas Department of Health & Environment, there are now 33,885 cases and 402 deaths statewide. This information can be found at https://www.coronavirus.kdheks.gov/.
The Kansas Department of Commerce was allocated nearly $140 million dollars to provide businesses with grants through CARES Act funding. These grants will be provided to businesses to address a variety of needs. For more information visit their website https://www.kansascommerce.gov/covidrelief/.
