A dispute over custody of a child resulted in an arrest, after a man made a threat.
According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) on April 10 at around 9:00 pm, officers were dispatched to a neighborhood in west Salina for the report of a disturbance.
Reportedly, several people were on a street in the neighborhood when Alexander Montgomery (26) allegedly threatened to shoot a 22-year old male.
SPD stated there was a dispute over the custody of a child.
One of the people on the scene reported to SPD about the incident and when officers arrived, they learned Montgomery made the threat and arrested him.
During the arrest, officers learned Montgomery had a BB-gun on his possession.
Montgomery was booked into the Saline County Jail for the requested charge of Aggravated Assault.
The victim and Montgomery are reportedly acquainted.
