Series of small earthquakes reported in central Kansas

ELLSWORTH COUNTY—A series of small earthquake shook portions of central Kansas over the past two days.

A 2.8 magnitude quake struck just before 6p.m. three miles northeast of Wilson, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The Kansas Geological Survey reported a 3.2. magnitude quake in Russell County at approximately the same time.

The Kansas Geological Survey also reported two additional quakes measuring 2.6 and 2.1 in Russell County on Sunday morning and Monday morning.

The Ellsworth County Sheriff's office has not received any calls about the quakes.
