
Marietta Jean (Spohn) Gotti, 102, of Salina, Kansas, left this world quietly on May 13, 2025, at Eaglecrest Retirement Community. She was the fourth of eight children born to Hubert and Harriet Spohn of rural Bennington, Kansas.
The family relocated to a farmstead near Culver, Kansas, where she attended school. There she met her husband to be, John Gotti. After World War II the couple took up farming. As a hard-working farm wife, she was known for her large family dinners and wonderful cooking skills! She and John enjoyed entertaining, playing cards, and traveling with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Hubert and Harriet Spohn. Along with her sister Maxine Banninger Slick; brothers, Averill, Dean, Wayne, Don, Larry Spohn; and husband, John Gotti.
Left to mourn her passing is her son, Jerry (Vicky) Gotti; daughter, Margaret Gardner; grandchildren, Shannon Gotti, Byron (Christie) Gotti, Grant (Theresa) Gotti, John (Tammy) and David (Jill) Gardner; her sister Veda Hoffhaus; special family friends, Calvin and Cathy Kelsey; and 8 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Roselawn Cemetery, 1920 E Crawford St, Salina, KS 67401.
