MANHATTAN – K-State women’s basketball head coach Jeff Mittie has finalized his roster for the upcoming 2021-22 season with the addition of Oklahoma transfer Heavenly Greer.

Greer, a product of Phoenix, joins an impressive group of signees for the Wildcats which includes:  Rebekah Dallinger (Sydney, Australia), Brylee Glenn (Raymore, Mo.), Jaelyn Glenn (Raymore, Mo.), Malene Lind Pedersen (Aabyhoj, Denmark) and Serena Sundell (Maryville, Mo.).

“We are excited to add Heavenly to our roster for the upcoming season,” said Mittie about the forward. “She is a talented forward that has good upside at both ends of the floor. She is quick off the floor and possesses an excellent feel for the game. We wanted to add depth to our inside game and add someone that was athletic enough to defend multiple positions. We believe Heavenly can provide this to our team.”

In her time at Oklahoma in 2020-21, Greer played in 10 games with 78 total minutes of action and averaged 2.2 points on a .476 field goal percentage, hauled in 2.8 rebounds and blocked 0.2 shots. She pulled in a career-high 10 rebounds against Texas State on December 13, 2020.

In her prep career, Greer was rated the No. 23 prospect at her position by ESPN Hoopgurlz and the No. 59 overall player nationally by Prospects Nation in the class of 2020.

She also earned CIF Southern Section District 5A Player of the Year, as well as First Team All-Area and All-Miramonte League selection and was a 2020 California All-State nominee.

Greer led Ganesha to the 2020 CIF Southern Section Division 5A championship and the CIF State Championship’s second round by averaging 26 points, 15 rebounds, seven blocks, five steals and seven assists per game. Overall in her prep career, Greer notched 1,403 points, 820 boards and 312 blocks.
