The Smoky Hill Museum welcomes the holiday season with its annual Holiday Open House on Saturday, November 23, from 1 to 3 p.m. The event is open to the public and free of charge.
Attendees will have the opportunity to create Christmas ornaments and other seasonal crafts, enjoy refreshments, and explore the museum and its gift store. According to event organizers, there will be a visit from Pioneer Prairie Santa, who will be available for photos.
A string quartet from Kansas Wesleyan University will perform holiday music during the event, adding to the festive atmosphere.
The Smoky Hill Museum, located in downtown Salina, is a nationally accredited history museum. Regular hours are Tuesday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
