A Kansas Highway Patrol Trooper has arrested a man accused of rape.

According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) a warrant was placed on Jonathan Engholm (50) of Kansas City, who reportedly committed a forcible sexual act against a woman at a south Salina home, back on December 2025.

The incident was reported on December 11, 2025.

Engholm was arrested by the trooper on April 27, 2026.

The victim was examined at Salina Regional Health Center, according to SPD. Engholm and the victim were acquainted.
