Bethany's Criminal Justice Research Symposium May 10

LINDSBORG - Original student research will be featured during the Bethany College Criminal Justice Department's Criminal Justice Research Symposium May 10.

The symposium is scheduled for 9 a.m.-5 p.m. May 10 in the Levin Room of Pihlblad Memorial Union on the Bethany Campus, 335 E. Swensson Street in Lindsborg. The symposium is open to the public at no charge.

Members of the department's senior seminar class, as well as students from the criminal justice research methods class will have their research on display. The symposium will consist of a static display of presentation boards for public viewing, according to information from the Criminal Justice Department.

The authors will be available "on an intermittent schedule to answer questions about their research," the department noted.

A number of research topics will be covered in the symposium, including the following.

●The effect of COVID-19 on crime rates

●Self-report delinquency

●Serial killers and the media
