On Thursday, Salina Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a grand opening event for Dacus Auto Body and Collision Repair.
Co-owners Chris and Kena Dacus started Dacus Auto Body in McPherson 11 years ago. This past May, Dacus purchased Crossroads Collision from the previous owners, who were looking to retire. Located at 1334 N Ohio, Dacus Auto Body and Collision Repair uses the same production staff as Crossroads Collision while also bringing in new workers to the site.
"I have a lot of connections to Salina from my childhood," said Kena Dacus. "It's been really welcoming and really nice."
Kena Dacus also announced that among the 17 OEM certifications Dacus Auto Body already holds, they recently received certification for Rivian, an electric vehicle manufacturer. Dacus hopes to continue to grow and provide new services to the Salina community.
