Two minor quakes rattle southern Saline County Thursday

Two minor earthquakes shook part of Saline County Thursday.

According to the Kansas Geological Survey, a 2.2 magnitude quake struck near Bridgeport in far southern Saline County at 10:45 a.m. Thursday. The quake was centered northwest of the S. Ohio Street-E. Rose Hill Road intersection.

A second quake struck northeast of the first at 5:50 p.m. Thursday. The 2.0 magnitude quake was centered just east of S. Holmes Road between E. Lapsley Road and E. Hobbs Creek Road.
