MCPHERSON - The McPherson Police Department on Thursday reported a scam involving someone claiming to be a representative of a local bank.
From the McPherson KS Police Department Facebook page:
Scam Alert! Farmer's State Bank has heard from four individuals already that someone is calling them, claiming to be from the bank and asking them for information.
If someone calls you and starts asking for sensitive information, please hang up. You can always look up the phone number for the bank or company and call them directly if you have concerns.
Luckily, the four people who have spoken to FSB weren't bamboozled and aren't out any money.
