The National Weather Service (NWS) in Wichita has issued a winter weather advisory in effect until 3 p.m. Monday for the following counties in our area.
Marion County
McPherson County
Patchy freezing drizzle will affect the area through the morning hours and should taper off by mid afternoon. The freezing drizzle will create a thin glaze of ice accumulation on surfaces, including roadways.
Plan on slippery road conditions and ice accumulation on vehicle windshields. These hazardous conditions will impact the morning commute. Use extreme caution if travel is necessary today.
NWS in Topeka has issued a winter weather advisory in effect until 3 p.m. Monday that includes Dickinson County.
Light snow will mix with light freezing drizzle at times. Additional snow accumulations of up to a half inch and ice accumulations of a light glaze.
Plan on slippery road conditions. The freezing drizzle may cause windshields to ice over. The hazardous conditions will impact the morning commute.
