MARION - A small earthquake shook part of eastern Marion County Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Kansas Geological Survey, a 2.4 magnitude quake struck at 4:46 p.m. Tuesday east-northeast of Marion. It was centered just west of the Marion-Chase county line northeast of the Clover Road-220th Street intersection.
