
A New Jersey man was arrested on multiple requested drug charges after he was stopped for speeding on Interstate 70 Monday afternoon.
Saline County Sheriff Roger Soldan said this morning that at approximately 4:17 p.m. Monday, a deputy near the N. Ninth Street exit on I-70 stopped an eastbound 2007 Lexus ES350 that had been clock at 91 mph in a 75 mph zone. During the stop, the deputy detected the odor of marijuana, Soldan said.
The car was searched and the following items were found, according to Soldan.
A quarter pound of marijuana
Some marijuana wax
$10,080.47 in cash
Soldan said the driver, Julian Whaling, 20, of Swedsgoro, N.J., was arrested on the following requested charges.
No drug tax stamp
Possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute
Possession of drug paraphernalia with the intent to distribute
