Randall Dean Tate, 65, of McPherson, Kansas, died July 13, 2021 in McPherson, Kansas. 

Randall Dean Tate died peacefully on July 13, 2021 at his home in McPherson, Kansas.  He was born on July 26, 1955 in Concordia, Kansas to Ray Dean and Florence Jean Hoard Tate. 

Randy was the proud father to three children, Bridget Johnston, Bryan Tate, and Aaron Tate and grandfather to four grandchildren.  

Randy was preceded in death by his parents; infant son Nathan Tate; stepfather Warren Taylor; paternal grandparents Lewis and Thelma Tate; Maternal grandparents Andy and Minnie Hoard; brother Curtis Tate, Stepsister Georgie Taylor, and stepbrother Tom Taylor.

His siblings Max Tate, Brenda Marcotte, Dedra Landon, and Willie Taylor all survive, along with many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.  

Randy enjoyed a busy life collecting antique clocks, woodworking, and spending time with his friends and family.   He was loved deeply by the family of Kyle and Jenny Williams and their four children, to which he was a devoted friend and family member.  

Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at the Phelps Funeral Home in Miltonvale, Kansas.

Graveside inurnment services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 26, 2021 at the Miltonvale Cemetery, Miltonvale, Kansas.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Randall Tate Memorial Fund to be designated later c/o the funeral home.
