
SALINE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect for alleged aggravated battery at a Salina gas station.
Just after 10p.m. Sunday, police responded to the 1900 block of N. 5th Street in Salina in reference a physical disturbance where the male identified as Phillip Ledesma had choked the victim a 47-year-old Salina man, according to Salina Police Captain James Feldman.
When officers arrived on scene they observed Ledesma who began yelling at officers and approaching them. Ledesma was ordered to the ground and complied where he was taken into custody without further incident.
The victim reported Ledesma approached him wanting to know where an acquaintance of Ledesma’s currently was and then grabbed the victim by the neck and choked him.
The victim reported the incident occurred in the parking lot of the Pilot Gas station in the 1900 block of N. 9th. The victim advised he only is aware of Ledesma from living in close proximity to him. The victim was evaluated by Salina EMS.
Ledesma was booked into the Saline County Jail in reference Aggravated Battery.
