One person was injured in an accident just before 9:30 a.m. Friday in Ottawa County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2022 International semi driven by Jose Ramon Chairez, 38, Moore, Oklahoma, was northbound U.S. 81 just South of Oxbow Road.
The semi traveled off the roadway to the right. The driver tried to correct the vehicle. He steered the vehicle across both northbound lanes of travel. The semi then left the roadway to the west and the driver over corrected, lost control and the semi overturned.
EMS transported Chairez Salina Regional Health Center. He was properly restrained, according to the KHP.
