Salina Area Technical College
Salina Area Technical College (SATC) is proud to announce that its Associate Degree Nursing Program has received Initial Accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
The accreditation is valid through Fall 2030.
The accreditation came with zero findings - meaning the program fully satisfied all 2023 ACEN Standards and Criteria.
ACEN is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as the leading accrediting body for nursing education, and accreditation signals to students and employers that graduates meet rigorous national competency standards.
Students who graduated from the nursing program during the accreditation review process will also be covered under the program’s accreditation status, allowing recent graduates to benefit from the achievement as the program moves forward under ACEN accreditation.
“The ACEN accreditation is very important to Salina Tech, and we achieved it through the hard work of our faculty, staff, and our wonderful students,” said Naomi Tatro, MSN, RN, Director of Nursing and Allied Health. “The process rigorously evaluates everything from faculty qualifications and curriculum alignment to clinical resources and institutional commitment. For our students, accreditation opens doors - more options for transfer, graduate school, and employment - and the confidence of knowing they earned their associate degree from a quality nursing program. We are truly honored.”
