SALINE COUNTY—A school bus driver and passengers avoided injury in a rear-end crash just after 3:30p.m. Friday in Saline County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2006 Chevy Silverado driven by Cody Allan Denio, 31, McPherson, was westbound on Interstate 70 just east of the Interstate 136 Junction. The pickup rear-ended a 2016 Bluebird school bus driven by Howard Doug Schanks, 68, Randolph, who had slowed to take the exit.
Denio, Schanks and 24 passengers on the bus were not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
