Della M. Gier, 95 of Clay Center died Thursday, October 22, 2020. She was born on September 16, 1925, the daughter of David and Callie (Walters) Ramsey. Della graduated from Valley Falls High School in 1943. She married Howard “Shorty” Gier on October 9, 1943. She worked at KP&L in Topeka, Boogart’s, Farmer’s Insurance, Brown’s and was a truck driver at Hutch Manufacturing for 10 years. Della babysat for many kids and took care of several older people. She is preceded in death by parents, two sisters, husband, Howard, son George Gier, grandson, Zayne McVey and son in-law, David Kendrick.
Della was member of the Eagles Lodge and the American Legion Auxiliary. Her family was very important to her. She loved spending time with her kids, great grandkids and great great grandkids.

Daughter In-Law: Patty Gier of Hutchinson, Kansas
11 Grandchildren, 29 Great Grandchildren, 16 Great Great Grandchildren
Many nieces and nephews.
