Jan L. Nondorf, the daughter of Glenn Wineinger and Hazel (Pimlott) Wineinger, was born March 12, 1955 in Belleville, Kansas and passed away on March 28, 2022 at the Salina Regional Health Center at the age of 67 years and 6 days.
Jan grew up and attended schools in Belleville, Kansas. On June 17, 1972 she was united in marriage to Mike Nondorf and to this union was born one daughter, Tammie. They made their home on a farm south of Scandia, Kansas later moving to Belleville, Kansas.
Jan worked at an early age for a feedlot in Republic, Kansas. She later was a cook at Republic County Hospital and the Lutheran Home in Belleville. She also worked at the Caffé Haus in Scandia and for several years at Casey’s as a cook and baker.
Jan was a member of the Scandia American Legion Ladies’ Auxiliary. Mike and Jan were members of the Swinging Swedes and the Kickin’ Kountry Kloggers, dancing together for several years. Jan also loved showing and riding horses.
She was preceded in death by her parents Glenn and Hazel Wineinger; daughter Tammie; sister Carolyn Favinger; brother Darrel Wineinger; nephew Blaine Favinger; brother-in-law Howard Herrman; and cousin Gerry Ronnebaum.
Jan is survived by her husband Mike Nondorf of Belleville, Kansas; three sisters, Paula Herrman of Norway, Kansas, Lois Walkenhorst of Kansas City, MO, and Dawn (Brian) Phillips of Belleville, KS; special cousin Beverly Ronnebaum of Topeka, Kansas; nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 2, 2022 at the Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, Kansas with Pastor Kathy Aeillo, officiating.
Interment will follow at the Belleville Cemetery, Belleville, Kansas.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2022 at the Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home where the family will greet friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday.
Memorials are suggested to the Shriners Children’s Hospitals.
