Patrick Douglas French passed away after a brief illness on April 14, 2022 at age 70, in Holiday Resort Health &amp; Rehab, Salina, KS.  He was born on February 14, 1952 in Maricopa County, Arizona, where his grandparents had settled before statehood. 

 He was predeceased by them, his parents Charmaine (Schuyler) and Donald French, and siblings Clark Kenna "Mike" French and Marie (French) Miller. 

 He is survived by his son Russell Willis French, and former wife and friend Joan Ratzlaff, both of Kansas; brother Donald French, sister Mina French, and aunt Patricia (French) Deef, all of Arizona; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

 He enjoyed rural life, especially fishing, and making tamales and enchiladas from scratch.  He was known for his kindness, sense of humor, and independent spirit.  He was a retired union carpenter. 

 A private family service took place.&nbsp;
