The 2025 Souper Bowl of Hope volunteers collected 8,276 cans of soup and $4,968.60 in cash donations at Dillon’s stores. While the event has not yet reached its goal of 59,000 cans, organizers remain optimistic that additional donations will continue to come in over the next few weeks.
Businesses step up with direct donations
In addition to donations collected at Dillon’s, several local businesses dropped off their contributions at the Souper Bowl of Hope warehouse, 319 S. 5th Street on Saturday, reducing the number of pickups required for board members.
Donation drop-off information
For those who still have product donations, items can be delivered to the Souper Bowl of Hope warehouse at 319 S. 5th Street (formerly the Consolidated Printing Building). A board member will be available this week from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. to receive donations.
To make the drop-off process smoother, organizers request that donations be:
Bagged or boxed in manageable weights.
Counted in advance, if possible, to assist board members.
With snow expected Tuesday night, organizers encourage donors to bring their contributions by Monday or Tuesday to avoid issues with snow buildup on the warehouse driveway.
Cash donations still accepted
For those who wish to support the effort financially, cash and check donations have no deadline.
Donations can be mailed to:
Souper Bowl of HopePO Box 2861Salina, KS 67402-2861
Cash and check donations can also be dropped off at Central National Bank (454 S. Ohio, near Water’s True Value). Donors should place contributions in an envelope labeled "Kristina Litchman, Souper Bowl" and include their names to ensure credit for the deposit. Donations can be made inside the bank or through the drive-through.

The annual Salina Souper Bowl is coming to a close but there is still plenty of ways for you to get involved in supporting this great cause. You can help by donating cans of soup at the volunteer stations located at the doors of all three Salina Dillon’s locations. Alternatively, cash donations are also welcome—please make checks out to Souper Bowl.
A $30 donation allows the organization to purchase 50 cans of soup, thanks to the program’s tax-exempt status. This helps stretch every dollar to make a bigger impact.
