Two small earthquakes shook parts of Dickinson County on Saturday.
According to the Kansas Geological Survey (KGS), the first, a 2.3 magnitude quake, struck at 11:29 a.m. It was centered just east and a bit south of the intersection of 1000 Avenue and Quail Road.
The second quake was a 2 magnitude quake and struck at 9:47 p.m., KGS reported. It was centered north-northwest of Hope, north of 1000 Avenue and between Nail Road and Oat Road.
