Police are investigating the theft of a four wheeler from a central Salina residence early Wednesday morning.

Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester reported this morning that Kenneth Fivecoat-Miller, 37, told police that he had returned to his residence in the 700 block of Custer at approximately 4 a.m. Wednesday after being out with friends. He said he left his keys in the door, let his dogs out, and returned to get his key, which were gone, Forrester explained. Fivecoat-Miller then heard his yellow and black 2003 Yamaha Banshee start up and drive off, Forrester noted. The four wheeler is valued at $10,000, he added.

According to Forrester, there was a 2002 Honda CBR 600 motorcycle left at the residence. Officers checked the VIN number on the motorcycle and found it to be stolen out of Dickinson County from Ronnie Mills, 41, of Salina, he explained.

The motorcycle was impounded and the investigation continues, Forrester noted.
