Lana Sue Lagasse

Lana Sue Lagasse, age 75, Concordia, KS resident entered into rest on Monday, December 07, 2020 at Park Villa Nursing Home, Clyde, KS.  She was born on July 10, 1945 to Horace “Junior” & Florence “Flossie” (Nichols) Wilkes.

Lana graduated from Belleville High School in 1964, and then attended Fort Hays State University.

On January 21st 1966 she was united in marriage to Larry Lagasse. At that time she joined Larry in successfully operating Larry Lagasse Auction and Real Estate where she walked beside him every day until she was diagnosed with Alzheimers. Together they raised 3 children- Lisa, Lance and Lacie. Larry and Lana spent countless hours with their kids, hauling them down the road to rodeos and roping competitions.

Lana also enjoyed her woman’s bowling league and her many animals.

She and Larry helped with the Cloud County Community College Unique Auction as well as several 4-H livestock auctions in the area.

Lana is survived by her 3 children, daughter, Lisa Chambers (Randy), Marshall, TX; son, Lance Lagasse (Brenda), Concordia & daughter, Lacie Burnett (Rance), Amarillo, TX; 6 grandchildren & 1 great grandchild; Trae Chambers (Hayley) & daughter, Annie, Marshall, TX, Colby Chambers, Marshall, TX, Layne Lagasse, Alva, OK, Taylor Lagasse, Concordia, KS, Brooklyn Burnett, Amarillo, TX &  Lauren Burnett, College Station, TX; 2 sisters, Brenda Berg (Rodger), Sterling, CO & Jan Gaghagen (Mike), Grand Island, NE in addition to many nieces, nephews & cousins.

Lana is preceded in death by her parents; her husband & an infant son.

Lana’s family would like to thank Park Villa Nursing Home and Meadowlark Hospice for their diligent care while she was a resident.

Graveside services will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Rice Cemetery, rural Concordia with Pastor Al Paredes officiating.  Visitation will be from 1-5 pm, Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Park Villa Nursing Home, Clyde in care of the funeral home.  For online condolences, please visit www.chaputbuoy.com.
