This Saturday, OCCK's Solutions Outreach Center will conduct its annual Medical Equipment Recycling Day.
OCCK urgently needs hospital beds, scooters, bedside commodes, bath transfer benches, walkers, and patient lifts, according to information from the organization.
Persons donating items are asked to drop them off between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Salina OCCK office at 1710 W. Schilling Road. All donations will be sanitized and repurposed for children and adults with mobility needs. If you cannot make Saturday drop-off, call the Solutions Outreach Center at 785-827-9383 to schedule a pick-up time.
In 2020, OCCK received 187 donated pieces of medical equipment and re-used 117 to help to children and adults.
