UPDATE: KGS says 3.4 magnitude quake shakes Jewell County

JEWELL COUNTY - A 3.4 magnitude earthquake shook part of Jewell County this morning.

According to the Kansas Geological Survey, the quake struck at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday southwest of Mankato.

It was centered just west of 70 Road and south of K Road.

There are no reports of damage or injury, according to the Jewell County Sheriff's Office.

The United States Geological Survey reported the quake as a 2.9 magnitude quake.
