Ruth E. (Stanley) Copple, 65, Minneapolis, died Sunday, April 11, 2021 at her home. Ruth was born August 12, 1955 in Lincoln to John and Wilma (Gray) Stanley.
Ruth and Gary Copple were united in marriage on October 1, 1977 in Minneapolis. She worked at the Good Samaritan Society for 30 years; retiring in 2014. Since retirement, Ruth and Gary were camp hosts at Glen Elder State Park. After Gary passed away in 2019, Ruth continued to camp host for two more years.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband Gary and best friend of 41 years; brothers, Melvin, Dick, Jerry, and Harry; infant sisters, Estella and Peggy; sister-in-law, Virginia Stanley; and brother-in-law, Bill Bell.
Survivors are her sons, Tommy and Laura Copple and Mitchell and JoDee Copple; brothers, William (Ed) and Christel and Russell and Kim; sister, Joyce; grandchildren, Cody, Tessa, Lane, Ethan, Bristol, Brantley, and Braden; great-grandchildren, Avery and Wyatt; nearly 200 nieces and nephews; her lake family; and a host of other family and friends.
At Ruth’s request, she was cremated and a graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 24 at the Delphos Cemetery. A gathering and luncheon, provided by the family, will be held immediately after the service at the Delphos Auditorium.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Glen Elder State Park and be left in care of Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467.
