For a second straight week, Kansas Wesleyan's Mia Hernandez (FR/Hanford, Calif.) has been named as the KCAC Softball Player of the Week for her efforts last week for the Coyotes. The KCAC Player of the Week program is selected by conference sports information directors.

Hernandez continued her strong season this week, hitting .667 with a .733 OBP and a 1.917 SLG. She homered in every game this week, extending her homerun streak to seven games. Her seven straight games with a homer breaks the NCAA Division III record, ties the NCAA Division I record, and is one off the NCAA Division II record and is likely the NAIA record as well.

She helped KWU to four wins on the week. Her home runs were key in KWU's come-from-behind win against Southwestern. KWU trailed 4-0 in the fourth inning, and she hit two homers — one during KWU's rally in the fourth to take the lead, and what ended up being the walk-off homer. She did all this without striking out once on the week.

KWU is at No. 22 ranked Ottawa on Thursday, and hosts Oklahoma Wesleyan on Saturday at Salina South High School.
