A Salina woman reported her handgun missing after she went out in the county to friends late last week.

Saline County Sheriff Roger Soldan said this morning that Lisa Conway, of Salina, reported that sometime between 7:30 p.m. on Thursday and 6:20 a.m. Friday, someone stole her Ruger 357 Magnum revolver from her 2019 Subaru Forester.

She told deputies that she believes the gun was stolen while she was visiting friends in the 200 block of S. Simpson Road Thursday evening. She drove home and didn't notice that the gun was missing until the next morning, Soldan said. There were no signs of forced entry, he added.

The gun was valued at $650.
