Paul Dean McDaniels

Paul Dean McDaniels, 91, of Ottawa, KS died Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Baldwin Health and Rehab in Baldwin City, Kansas.
He was born August 2, 1932 in Olathe, Kansas the son of James Cree McDaniels Sr. and Elmira (Hermon) McDaniels. He graduated from Gardner High School with the class of 1950.
On December 30, 1955, Paul was united in marriage to Donna Lee Horne in Olathe, Kansas. They later divorced. On June 11, 1973, he was united in marriage to Donna Robinson in Miami, Oklahoma. They later divorced.
Paul served his country in the United States Navy from 1953 until 1992, fighting in the Korean War and Vietnam War attaining the rank of Chief Petty Officer E7. After and during his military service he worked at SW Bell and AT&T doing cable splicing from 1960 until 1992.
Paul was a part of many veteran organizations, including the FRA 161, V.F.W. out of Ottawa, KS, American Legion out of Olathe, KS, and Naval Enlisted Reserves Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Elmira McDaniels; a son, Paul James McDaniels; and a sister, Doris McDaniels.
He is survived by a son, David W. McDaniels of Grain Valley, MO; a daughter, Debra Hensley of Roanoke, KS; three brothers, Fred McDaniels of Baldwin, KS, James Cree McDaniels Jr. of Baldwin, KS, and Charles McDaniels of Ottawa, KS; six grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, Baldwin City, KS. To celebrate Paul’s life, a visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, 712 Ninth St, Baldwin City, KS 66006.
