Carolyn Marie Walker, 89, of McPherson, KS, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 27, 2020, with her family by her side, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She had lived in McPherson County her entire life and was a nurse assistant at Memorial Hospital in McPherson. She was born September 7, 1931, in rural McPherson, the daughter of Henry Adams Walker and Mildred Lucretia (Russell) Walker. She attended McPherson Schools and graduated from McPherson High School. Carolyn was a longtime member of the First Christian Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution (Stone Corral Chapter – Lyons). Survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by: her parents, sisters Eloise Thomas and Adelaide McBride, and brothers James Walker, Winston Walker, and Kenneth Walker. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, January 15, 2021, at McPherson Cemetery with Rev. Lynn Scott officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to Noon (also on Friday) at Stockham Family Funeral Home.
