Lester Leroy Mockerman

Lester Leroy Mockerman, 89, of Holyrood, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, April 9th, 2024.
Lester was born in Tescott, Kansas on October 16, 1934, a son of Josephine (Meurisse) and Adam Mockerman.
He attended most of his school years at Brookville, where he played on the 1952 winning basketball championship team.
Lester served in the United States Army in Germany from 1957 - 1959.
On March 12, 1961, Lester married Pauline McDowell and to this union, they were blessed with their children, Scott and Tammy.
He worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Saline County.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline, his children, Scott Mockerman (B.J.) and Tammy Mockerman, 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
Lester is also survived by his sister, Della Smith, and brother, Victor Mockerman (Myrna).
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Linford Mockerman; and sister, Rose Myers.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Thursday, April 11th at Carlson - Geisendorf Funeral Home, Salina. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, April 12th at Carlson - Geisendorf Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Hutchinson officiating.
Burial will follow at Brookville Cemetery, Brookville, Kansas.
Donations may be made to Cornerstone Free Methodist Church, in care of the funeral home.
