A portion of S. Simpson Road was closed earlier this week for a pipe replacement and regrading.

According to information from Saline County, S. Simpson Road between E. McReynolds Road and Mentor Road is scheduled to remain closed through May 27 so that a county crew can replace a pipe and regrade the road and the ditch.

Motorists are asked to find alternate routes.  Local and emergency traffic will be provided access to private property within the sections of closed road at all times, according to the county.
