Michael Hurd Steinsiek, 86, of Clay Center, died Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at the Ascencion Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan, Kansas.&nbsp; He was born August 28, 1936 in Clayton, Oklahoma, the son of Bert and Hazel (Hurd) Steinsiek.

Michael grew up in Clayton, Oklahoma.&nbsp; 

He attended and played football at the University of Oklahoma.&nbsp; 

Michael married JoAnn Heitman on June 3, 1956.&nbsp; 

He worked as a salesman for Custom Fence in Longmont, Colorado.&nbsp; The couple moved to Clay Center in 2007.&nbsp; He attended the First Presbyterian Church in Clay Center, was an avid fisherman and was a regular at the Tasty Pastry Bakery.&nbsp; 

Survivors include his wife JoAnn Heitman of Clay Center; sons Rick Steinsiek of Lake George, CO and Michael Dirk and wife, Carol Steinsiek of Littleton, CO; three grandchildren, Joshua (Brittney) Steinsiek, Heather (Dan) Foggin and Candice Steinsiek and 13 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.&nbsp;
