Dorothy Ann McLeighton of Salina passed away on November 9, 2022, to be with the Lord. She was born on December 1, 1934, to William and Antonio Groth in Sylvan Grove, Kansas.
Dorothy graduated from Sylvan Grove High School. She married Robert McLeighton on March 20, 1955. They were married for 67 years.
Dorothy loved to travel and spend time with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by two children, Kim Cunningham (Skip) of Ely, Nevada, and Kevin McLeighton (Shirley) of Salina; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister Bernita Schmidt of Lee’s Summit, Missouri and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; three brothers, Elmer, Ronald, and Harold; and three sisters, Gertrude Weseloh, Hilma Daugherty, and Arlene Layne.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, December 9, 2022, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 702 S. Ninth Street, Salina.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or Interim Healthcare Hospice.
